The following are frequently asked questions of investors related to this Receivership.  The Receiver provides answers to each question below but may revise these answers as she obtains further information and documents related to the Receivership Defendants and the fraudulent scheme they perpetrated. Therefore, the Receiver encourages investors to visit this page periodically to see the Receiver's revisions to these questions, if any, or her answers to additional frequently asked questions.

What is the status of my account?
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida in its February 25, 2013 Order Granting Preliminary Injunction froze all assets of the Defendants until further order of the Court for the purpose of preserving those assets for the benefit of the customers.   At this time, the court-appointed Special Monitor/Corporate Manager (the "Monitor/Manager") has the responsibility of determining the nature and location of all assets of the Defendants and taking possession, custody, or control of, or otherwise securing, those assets.  The Monitor/Manager has filed with the Court two Status Reports detailing the efforts and accomplishments of the Monitor/Manager and her professionals.  Those Reports have been posted to the homepage of the Monitor/Manager's website for this action:  www.hunterwisemanager.com.  The Court has set the trial of the CFTC's claims against the Defendants for a two-week period commencing on February 24, 2014.  No claims or restitution process will be authorized for customers prior to the trial's completion.

I did not make my investment with Hunter Wise, why is my account involved in this? 
There are nearly 100 precious metal dealers that relied on Hunter Wise to provide services associated with precious metal investment accounts.  A list of all dealers is included as an Exhibit to the Monitor/Managerís Initial Status Report, which can be found at: ExhibitB_doc102-16SpecialMonitorandInitialReport03-25-13.pdf.  If you are not sure if your account is part of this case, you can send an email to hunterwisemanager@dvllp.com or call 305-542-4410 for further information.

What is the current value of my account?
The Monitor/Manager froze the account values as of Feb 25, 2013 and the account values are no longer fluctuating based on market prices.  In addition, all service fees and interest have been stopped and will not be deducted from your equity.

I sent physical metals to the Hunter Wise depository, can I get these back? 
As of February 22, 2013, all assets of the Entity Defendants are frozen until further order of the Court for the purpose of preserving the assets of the Defendants and their customers.   At this time, the court-appointed Monitor/Manager has the responsibility of determining the nature and location of all assets, and taking custody, control and possession of these assets.  On March 25, 2013, the Monitor/Manager shall file with the Court a report of her conclusions and recommendations and be posted on this website. 

I need tax documents regarding my investment account.  Where can I find these?
Hunter Wise did not provide 1099 tax forms for the 2012 or 2013 calendar years, and the Monitor/Manager cannot generate or provide those forms.  The Monitor/Manage cannot provide tax advice.  Please consult with your accountant or lawyer for answers to more specific questions and further tax-related information.ur account, email hunterwisemanager@dvllp.com or call 305-542-4410 for assistance.
